Good Friday Agreement

After 30 years of violence, the people of Northern Ireland were offered the prospect of peace with an historic 67-page Agreement sealed at 5 pm on Good Friday 10 April 1998 - seventeen working hours after the midnight deadline. The mixed parties agreed that a People's Referendum would take place on
