First Freeman of Basingstoke pictured in his workshop behind his jeweller's shop in Wote Street. Mr Willis, a dedicated amateur archaeologist, botanist and local historian, was the founder of The Willis Museum Basingstoke which, amongst other treasures, houses his fine collection of clocks and watches
